Do you enjoy boating or waterskiing? Lake Osborne and John Prince Park are only a few blocks away. The City of Lake Worth Beach

Airports

Lazyland is just a few miles from Palm Beach International Airport (PBI), which has approximately 160 daily flights on a dozen airlines with non-stop service to more than 25 airports and connections to anywhere in the world. We are also about 40 minutes from Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport (FLL). FLL serves approximately 30 airlines and offers more than 350 daily flights. And FLL now offers regularly scheduled international flights to more than 20 countries. And, if you can’t find the flights you are looking for from PBI or FLL, Miami International Airport (MIA) is just an hour away. MIA is a major hub that offers hundreds of daily non-stop flights to most parts of the U.S. and over 100 destinations internationally. For the more adventurous flyers, there are also several general aviation airports nearby where you can take lessons to learn to fly (or even skydive).

Seaports & Boating

If you enjoy cruising, South Florida is home to two major cruise ports: Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades) and Port Miami. From either of these ports you can find all types of cruises, from weekend getaways to transatlantic dream cruises.

Many South Floridians enjoy boating and yachting. Whether you are interested in deep-sea fishing or leisurely boating along our miles of Intracoastal Waterways, there are plenty of options nearby. Boat ramps and marinas are just a short drive from Lazyland. If you don’t own your own boat, there are plenty of charter options too.

Rail Service

Commuter rail service connects all of South Florida. Tri Rail offers service from West Palm Beach to Miami and virtually every city in between. For longer trips, you can connect to Amtrak in West Palm Beach. And BrightLine offers express trains to Fort Lauderdale (Miami and Orlando will be coming soon).

Local Transportation

If you are looking for local transportation in and around Palm Beach County (with connections to airports and rail service), check out Palm Tran—Palm Beach County’s public transportation system. Palm Tran also offers special services for disabled residents and visitors through the Palm Tran Connection program.

Lake Worth Beach is also a bicycle-friendly city, with designated bike lanes to make getting around fun and safe for cyclists.
